The Owatonna High School boys hockey team had several chances to get on the board in Thursday's Section 1AA quarterfinal game at Hastings. But the Huskies had little puck luck, while the Raiders made several big plays for a 6-0 win.

Hastings (third seed, 21-4-1) advances to the semifinals at the Rec Center in Rochester Saturday, February 26 at 2 pm against Lakeville North (second seed, 20-6). Owatonna's season comes to an end at 10-15-1. Top-seed Lakeville South plays No. 4 Rochester Mayo at 11:30 am Saturday.

Hastings scored on an odd-man rush just over four minutes into the first period. They added a goal on a shot from the point and off a turnover for a 3-0 lead at first intermission. OHS had a couple of chances where the puck was loose in the crease but the Raiders goalie made a big stop or got bailed out by a teammate clearing the puck.

Hastings added two in the second period for a 5-0 lead. Raiders leading scorer Connor Stoffel had a goal-scorer's goal on a back hand from a tough angle. He had a hat trick on the night.

Owatonna's 19 seniors on the roster include Sam Pfieffer, Wyatt Kriesel, Grant Achterkirch, Elijah Mazariego, Ashton Hoffman, Sam Knoll, Ryan Gregory, Joey Dub, Devon Roush, Casey Pederson, Kaden Finholdt, Levi Kubicek, Mason Zirngible, Jack Sande, Caleb Vereide, Cole Schroeder, Tanner Stendel, Preston Meier and Taylor Bogen.
