Gordy Kosfeld said doing the Polar Plunge for Camp Omega was not nearly as dangerous as some of the other things I have done at KDHL. I guess he was right? It can't be as dangerous as the wild cow milking contest at the Goodhue County Fair, jumping out of a little cage 250 feet in the air with a bungee cord strapped around my feet at the Rice County Fair, or sitting on top of a 250 pound alligator holding it's mouth shut so it can't bite me?

However, I have never done a polar plunge. Actually, I prefer a hot tub! But, it was for a good cause as  Kevin, a certain Mayor of Faribault needed another team member. I was informed the team theme would be National Lampoon and we were going to be Cousin Eddie. This may not come as a surprise, but I had not seen the movie National Lampoon and said who is Cousin Eddie? I took Kevin's word for who he was and how he dressed?

News Director Gordy Kosfeld called Russ over at Camp Omega today and he said our team raised about $3,000. Plus, pledges were still coming in and they were already over $30,000. It was great to see so many people there having fun for a great cause!. I was actually surprised when we jumped in that the water did not feel that cold. After a few seconds as we walked out of the water you began to feel how cold it really was!

I was informed during the introduction that I "was special" and there was a FREE lunch for me at the bottom of the pool if I wanted to search for it! I was not that HUNGRY!
