The Guthrie Theater made the tough call to cancel the rest of their 2019/2020 season, canceling shows as late as August 29th. They had canceled shows due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the past and, at the time, were hoping to start putting on shows again early April, but that is no longer happening.

The following shows have been canceled, according to Bring Me the News:

  • Emma (Wurtele Thrust Stage)
  • Destiny of Desire (McGuire Proscenium Stage)
  • Cabaret (Wurtele Thrust Stage)
  • Sweat (McGuire Proscenium Stage)
  • The Caucasian Chalk Circle (B.F.A. program, Dowling Studio)
  • Spotlight Cabaret (Dowling Studio)

There are different options for what you can do if you have already purchased tickets for one of these shows.

One option is to donate your ticket which makes it a tax-deductible donation to the Gutherie. You "can hold the money on account" and use it for a future Guthrie performance. Or you can get a refund. Here is the form to fill out for the donation or refund option. And you can find more information HERE.
