Goodhue County Fair is Back with Fun for Everyone

Goodhue County Fair Secretary Chuck Schwartau says their board is so happy to be able to have a COVID restrictions free fair in Zumbrota this week.

Schwartau added if people feel it is best to wear a mask, "By all means wear a mask." The fair activities are basically the same as in past years with something for everyone in the family.

Crescent City Amusements provides the carnival which is open Wednesday through Saturday beginning 1:00 p.m. Carnival ride specials include $20 armbands Wednesday and Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, August 10, 2021 FREE Lawn Mower Derby with special power wheels contest for kids at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 11, 2021 Demolition Derby at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $13 adults, under age 12 is $7.
Thursday, August 12, 2021 Tractor and Truck Pull at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $10 adults, under 12 is $5.
Friday, August 13, 2021 Autocross Racing at 7:00 p.m.. Admission is $15 adults, under 12 id $10.
Saturday, August 14, 2021 Demolition Derby at 5:00 p.m. Admission is $15 adults, under 12 id $10.

Lots of free entertainment at the Goodhue County Fair with the FFA Children's Barnyard, 4-H Livestock exhibits in the various barns, 4-H static exhibits in the 4-H Building, Open Class Exhibits in the Horticulture and Old Commercial Building.

All week Just 4 Laffs has shows throughout the day with a balloon artist, face painting, magic and games between their shows. The Kid's Zome between the 4-H Building and the FFA Barnyard.

Wednesday through Friday Noon to 6:00 p.m. A variety of activities in the schoolhouse hosted by the Goodhue County Historical Society.

Friday, August 13, 2021 Noon Jeopardy style game, 2:00 p.m. Whirly Gig Art Project, 2:30 p.m. Jeopardy style game, 3:00 p.m. Movie Night Trivia.

Saturday, August 14, 2021 10:00 a.m. Jeopardy style game.

Wednesday is Day Care day, Thursday Kids Birthday Party Day, Friday Senior Citizen's Day and Saturday Final Fun Day.

The 4-H Exhibit Building will be open each day 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Commercial Buildings are open 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Open Class Exhibit Buildings open from Noon to 10:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

The Beer Garden is manned by the Zumbrota Fire Department and Goodhue County Fair open Tuesday through Saturday with FREE jukebox and bands Wednesday through Saturday.

Schwartau was very clear about the fact Goodhue County is proud of their rural heritage and says their fair is clearly a 4-H driven fair.
