The Faribault Falcons bats were humming Saturday in victories over host team Visitation Academy, South St. Paul and Hawley at Victoria Fields in Roseville.

In the opener the Falcons clubbed 14 hits led by Amanda Cullen going 4 for 4 including a triple.  Amira Williams had 2 hits, 2 RBi, Emma Minnick 2 hits including a triple and RBI, Grace Brazil achieved 2 RBI and Olivia Smith smacked a triple in the 5inning game.

Rylee Sietsema allowed 3 hits, walked 3 and struck out 5 Blazer in the game.  She threw 86 pitches, 50 strikes.

The Falcons downed Visitation Academy of Mendota Heights 11-0.

Faribault came from behind to defeat South St. Paul 13-11 in their next game.

Williams started in the pitching circle, going the first 3 innings of the six inning game, allowing 5 hits, with 6 walks, no strikeouts, 80 pitches thrown, 38 strikes.  Sietsema got the win after throwing 3 innings with 3 runs scored, 3 earned.  The senior struck out 1, walked 1 and gave up 4 hits.

The Falcons hammered 14 hits again with two doubles and two triples.  They were behind 9-3 going into the 5th inning.  Cullen enjoyed 2 hits including a triple and 3 RBI.  Emma Minnick had 3 hits including a triple with 2 RBI.  Williams hit an RBI double, Olivia Smith tallied 3 RBI, Reagan Drengenberg had 2 hits including a double and RBi.  Grace Brazil added a pair of hits and 2 RBI.

Faribault had no strikeouts at the plate in that game after only fanning twice in the first contest.

The Falcons captured a walk-off win thanks to an error in the bottom of the 7th inning against the Hawley Nuggets to complete their unbeaten day.  Hawley led 4-0 in the second inning.

Faribault collected 6 hits and took advantage of 6 walks to clog the bases.  Jamie Adamek led the hitting with 2 including an RBI.  Williams clubbed a double.

Sietsema pitched the entire game scattering 7 hits, allowing 4 runs, 3 earned, walking 1 and striking out 6 batters.  She threw 123 pitches, 87 strikes.

The wins came for the Falcons despite committing 12 errors on the day including 7 against South St. Paul.

Faribault is now 8-7 including 4 straight wins and goes to Winona Monday with a 5:00 p.m. first pitch scheduled.

Pine Island also played in Roseville winning one and dropping two games.  The Panthers fell to Litchfield 10-7 and Concordia Academy 12-9 before defeating Aitkin 9-5.

Randolph remains undefeated after scoring 11-0 and 5-1 wins over La Crescent and Cannon Falls on a gorgeous day at Silk Field in Randolph.  Cannon Falls was victorious 3-1 over La Crescent .

Mya Menge smacked a solo home run in the first inning to give the Bombers the lead but Rockets pitcher Carter Raymond struck out 13 and allowed 2 hits in the game.

Raymond entered the day with 93 innings pitched, allowing 32 hits, 6 runs, 5 earned, 5 walks, 161 strikeouts, 38 looking, 5 hit batters.  She had a 0.376 ERA and 0.398 WHIP, 2 wild pitches.  Opponents were hitting .102 against the junior.
