It's cold, but not bitterly cold like we saw earlier this month. One could say that it is just the right kind of weather for ice skating. Faribault's Crooked Pint restaurant yesterday gave an update on their skating rink, and they want you to know that it is OPEN!

The restaurant took their message to social media.

The rink is even equipped with a generator so those wishing to skate, after basically 3:30 P.M. these days, can go out and skate with some lighting.

This news comes on top of last weeks announcement that other Faribault area rinks are all ready to go for the season, and the warming houses were open.

Just know that the warming house hours at the Jefferson rink are "Monday through Friday from 4-9 p.m." and on "Saturday and Sunday from 1-9 p.m."
