The Faribault Falcons boys track and field team had several All-State performances at St. Michael Albertville High School Friday and Saturday.

The St. Peter Saints captured the Class 2A boys with 44 points, Spectrum was second with 40 points, Jordan third with 39.  Faribault , Delano and Worthington all had 30 points.

Monticello won the Class 2A girls with 71 points, Providence Academy had 60 points, Rockford and Academy of Holy Angels 48 points.

For the Falcons senior Owen Carlin placed 5th in the Triple Jump, a leap of 42 feet, 9.75 inches.  Sophmore Carter Johnson was 7th in the 110 Meter Hurdles at 15.77.  Sophmore Cristian Escobar placed 5th in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 40.88.

Faribault relay teams racked up the points.

The 4x200 Meter Relay team of freshman JJ Schrot, junior Ian Ehlers, sophmore Cristian Escobar and junior Muse Muhumed finished third with a time of 1:30.33.  Fellow Big Nine team Mankato West won that relay with a time of 1:28.43.

The Falcons 4x100 Meter Relay placed 4th with senior Owen Carlin starting out of the blocks, then Escobar, Schrot and senior Derek Sando anchoring.  Their time was 43.15.  Hill-Murray won that event with a time of 42.36.

The 4x400 Meter Relay finished 7th with Schrot starting, Muhumed next, then juniors Reyes Turcios and Alex Turcios.  Their time 3:30.60.  Jordan won that relay with a time of 3.22.20.

The 4x800 Meter Relay did not place in the top 8 finishing 13th with a time of 8:27.59.  Junior Ricky Cordova started that relay followed by senior Thomas Malecha, junior Alexander Tuma and anchored by senior Henry Schonebaum.

According to the MSHSL posted results on their website Faribault girls participating at the State Track and Field Meet did not place. For example 8th grade student Brynn Beardsley was 14th in the 1600 Meter Run, her time 5:29.07.  Senior Aleah Miller of Alexandria Area is the State Class 2A Champion with a time of 4:59.57.

Mankato West boys were 17th with 22 points, Stewartville was 18th with 21 poinits.

Carter Anderson, sophmore from Stewartville is the Boys High Jump 2A Champion clearing 6 feet 6 inches,

Jordan Meyer, senior from Tri-City United placed 4th in the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.39,

 

Junior Kyle Ahlschlager finished 5th in the Boys 100 Meter Dash, his time 11.33.  The winning time was 10.83 by Spectrum senior Max Reis.

On the girls side Winona senior Mandy Duellman had the best toss in the Shot Put winning the championship with a throw of 39 feet, 3.75 inches.  Senior Grace Banse of Mankato West placed 5th with a throw of 35 feet 8 inches.

Byron sophmore Paige Halder finished second in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 58.01.  Freshman Ellie Moore of St. Paul Highland Park won the event at 57.61.  Halder was also part of Byron's 4x200 Meter Relay team that placed 7th with 8th grader Carly Halder anchoring, senior Olivia Amundson out of the blocks followed by 7th grader Lilah Kurke.
