It looks like Easter weekend this year will be just beautiful with highs forecasted for 69 on Saturday, and 60 on Sunday. Perfect weekend to get outside, and for those with younger kiddos, the perfect time to take advantage of the Easter Egg Hunts scheduled for the weekend.

On Saturday, April 20th, the Christian Family Church in Owatonna will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt, on the church grounds, starting at 11 am. This hunt is open to children ages 2-12 and there will be family activities, a carnival, and games. You can see the breakdown of the age groups here.  This is a very popular event and so much excitement with the kiddos running around and grabbing eggs.

On Saturday, April 20th, the Blooming Prairie Women of Today will put on the Blooming Prairie Easter Egg Hunt in the Blooming Prairie City Park, starting at 11 am. This one is open to children age 10 and under, and the kiddos can collect up to a dozen eggs. Once the eggs are turned in, they will receive a goodie bag and have a chance to win other prizes.

On Easter Sunday, Sparetime Entertainment will host its indoor Easter Egg Hunt, during their Easter brunch from 10 am - 2 pm. The hunt will take place in their 3 level laser tag arena under the black lights, so the eggs will glow. You can check out more about the brunch and Easter Egg Hunt on their Facebook page. Rumor has it the Easter Bunny will make an appearance. The Egg Hunt is free and open to the public.

Or, if your family is like mine, you plan your own Easter Egg hunts, which can include the adults. We have done this, just sent the kiddos out to get eggs, and then the parents claimed the adult treats, for us it was little airline/sample bottles of booze. I think I still have mine from a couple of years ago.

However you decide to celebrate, there are choices for egg hunts all over the area. Take pictures, these are so much fun to watch!
