Some good news for your weekend! Back in February, we let you know about a stolen car and trailer from the Hampton area. As a welcomed update to this story, the vehicle was found and returned back on Thursday! According to the Dakota County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the investigation is still ongoing.

The 1951 Chevy Styleline was inside a 24-foot trailer that was stolen in rural Dakota County on either Feb. 3 and 4, prompted an appeal from the Dakota County Sheriff's Office both on its Facebook page and through an alert to local media.

According to the Pioneer Press, the owner had been "storing the trailer and car outside at a farm in Hampton Township, south of Farmington". The trailer was found earlier in the week as a result of a tip from a resident.

Since the investigation is ongoing the Dakota County Sheriff's Office declined to specify as to where the trailer and vehicle were found.
