The University of Minnesota Extension Service and the Southern Minnesota Wine Growers Alliance will be hosting a Vineyard and Winery Management Workshop at Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery on Saturday March 23, 2019. This will be a "hands on" event where grape growers can sharpen their skills and learn new techniques for managing cold hardy grapes and making high quality Minnesota wines. The day will end with a tour of Chankaska's innovative wine cellar with their winemakers and University of Minnesota enology specialist Drew Horton.

Speakers include University of Minnesota Extension Educators Annie Klodd, Natalie Hoidal, John and Jenny Thull of the University of Minnesota Horticultural Research Center, Chankaska vineyard manager Jamieson Lindquist, winemaker Mike Drash and enology specialist Drew Horton. The cost is $30 for Southern Minnesota Wine Grower Alliance members of $35 for non-members.
