The Faribault City Council has voiced a desire to have better communication with the citizens of the community and has scheduled an event to facilitate that goal.

Named "Coffee With the Council," the event Saturday, April 2, will take place at the Coffee Shop and Chocolate Haven in downtown Faribault.

From 8:30-10AM, members of the City Council will provide updates to various city projects in a relaxed atmosphere. Council members say they will also answer any questions members of the community might have.

The Coffee Shop and Chocolate Haven is at 313 Central Ave. in the heart of downtown Faribault.

There are a number of items to discuss.

The Faribault Fire Hall renovation is coming along very well, according to Fire Chief Dusty Dienst on Wednesday's AM Minnesota program.

There are empty buildings around town the council would love to see filled, and maybe they would be able to assist an entrepreneur in making that happen. You will not know unless you ask.

Show up Saturday, April 2, from 8:30-10AM. Everyone is welcome.
