
Bethlehem Academy Boys Lose to State Ranked Grand Meadow
The Grand Meadow Super Larks are ranked #17 in Class 1A in the latest Minnesota Basketball News rankings. They invaded Van Orsow Auditorium Saturday and went home with a 60-43 victory. The Cardinals were playing their second game in as many nights and the Super Larks had a night off Friday. Grand Meadow improved their record to 14-3, 13-2 in Section 1A play. Bethlehem Academy fell to 6-8 overall and 1-4 in the section.
Grand Meadow had a 33-23 lead at the half. They shot 52 percent for the game. For the second straight night the free throw line was the determining factor in a Cardinals loss. Friday night in a 62-61 loss at Wells against United South Central, BA was 7 of 18 from the free throw line. United South Central was 8 of 11. Saturday they were 2 of 5 while Grand Meadow was 13 of 17.
Jack Clark was the only Cardinal in double figures with 17 points and hit 4 three point baskets. Bethlehem Academy had 7 threes and Grand Meadow 5. Colt Landers was the only Super Lark in double figures with 19 points on 6 of 11 shooting, 4 for 4 from the charity stripe.
Grand Meadow had 37 rebounds and BA 19. In Friday's game the Cardinals were a -10 on the glass.
