AM Minnesota Tom Slunecka With Minnesota Soybean Growers
My guest on today's AM Minnesota Program will be Tom Slunecka who is the Chief Executive Officer with the Minnesota Soybean Growers. The topic will be Plasma Blue which is a new way of making biodiesel. Plasma Blue was developed by the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Soybean Growers. The process uses electricity and liquid plasma to make biodiesel.
Plasma Blue was a big topic of conservation at the National Biodiesel Conferance earlier this winter. It can cut the cost of making biodiesel by around 8 cents a gallon. The Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council saw the potential of this new technology and formed the company Plasma Blue. Tom Slenecka will be taking the lead on developing the Plasma Blue Project. It should be an interesting AM Minnesota Program today!
