"What the past can tell us about ag business management for both now and the future is the topic" of the Advancing Ag webinar on Wednesday May 26, 2021 at 11:00 am. It has been quite a ride for farmers in the last 10 years. We went from record high corn and bean prices in 2012 and 2013. Then the last few years we have struggled with really low prices especially last year with the COVID-19 pandemic. Last spring we had cash corn prices at $2.80 a bushel and beans under $8.00

Today we have cash corn over $7.00 and beans at $16.00! The Advancing Ag webinar "will review how government programs, market prices, taxes, yields and cost of production have impacted profits in the past and what that means for the future. Panelists include ag business management Extension Educators Garen Paulson, David Bau, Robert Holcomb, and Megan Roberts.

There is no charge for the Advanced Ag webinar but you do have to pre-register to get emailed the Zoom link. You can pre-register at: z.umn.edu/advancing-ag. The webinar will be recorded and posted on YouTube so you can watch at a later date if you have a conflict and cannot watch it live. Also for certified crop advisors you ca self-apply for CEU's.
