79 Reported Sick From Salmonella Linked to Hy-Vee Pasta Salad
A press release from The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) last month informed the public that Hy-Vee was voluntarily recalling its Spring Pasta Salad due to a potential that it could be contaminated with Salmonella. It turns out that wasn't enough, as many more individuals have now fallen ill due to being exposed to the salad.
Several states, including Minnesota, reported cases of Salmonella Sandiego infection as part of this outbreak. Olmsted County Public Health provided us with an update, stating:

The pasta salad was sold in all Hy-Vee stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Hy-Vee quickly and voluntarily removed the product from all grocery shelves.
