With 2017 quickly coming to an end, New Year’s celebrations are about to begin. And for many of you, that means it’s time to party. But here’s the thing: if you’re ringing in the new year with a fair amount of champagne and booze, your New Year’s Day will probably suck. We’ve all been there. It’s not fun.

That’s why I’d like to offer up some friendly tips on how to cure those pesky hangovers without any hassle whatsoever.

Pickle Juice

Whether it’s dill or sweet, chug away. It doesn't sound like the best, but it can help that upset stomach settle down.

Midol

Look, before you judge me, I can guarantee that this actually works. This was a trick I learned from an old girlfriend back in the day. Midol is basically Ibuprofen + Caffeine, which are two things that can really help you get over that pounding headache. Obviously, as with any medication, you want to be careful, read the label, and use it sparingly. But when I tried it, my hangover was completely gone within 20 minutes. I do start crying whenever I hear Adele, but it's a fair trade-off.

Don’t Drink Crappy Alcohol

This probably goes without saying, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for. If you like rum, avoid Ron Diaz like the plague. PBR? BE CAREFUL. You don’t have to go super expensive, but don’t order from the shelf that’s literally inches away from the floor, either.

Pedialyte

Had I known about this miracle drink, I probably would have gotten two weeks of my life back during college. It is INCREDIBLE. It’s honestly not a bad idea to chug a bottle of this in the middle of the night while keeping an extra one for the morning. Since hangovers are caused by dehydration, you’ll feel like a champ in no time. “Pedialyte: Not Just For Babies!” This is my #1 suggestion.

...Or Just Don’t Drink A Lot

This one is the most optional choice on the list.
