Winter Dairy Series

The first of the 2017-2018 Winter Dairy Series meetings will be on Monday December 11, 2017 at the Scott County Extension Office located at 7151 W. 190th St., Jordan. Lunch will be served at 12:00. The program will run from 12:30 until 2:30 pm. Pre-Registration is not required but appreciated. Contact Colleen Carlson, UMN Extension Educator at 952-466-5300. By the way the program is free. Speakers for this first meeting include Jim Salfer, University of Minnesota Extension Educator speaking on the topic of Life After BST. The second speaker Monday will be Vic Larson with Larson Hoof Trimming. Vic will discuss Hoof Care: Foot Bath Protocol. The dates for the other Winter Dairy Series meetings include Monday January 15, 2018, Monday February 12, 2018 and Monday March 12, 2018. The Winter Dairy Series will provide a lot of practical information that dairy farmers can take back to their operations.
