The University of Minnesota Extension Service and the Minnesota Dairy Initiative South Central Region will be hosting a free educational event for dairy farmers on Monday March 12, 2018 at the First Bank & Trust (formerly State Bank of New Prague) located at 11101 1st St SE, New Prague. The program is free and begins with lunch at noon.

Ann Traxler Le Sueur County Emergency Management Director will discuss preparing an emergency management plan for your livestock when a weather disaster strikes your farm. Steve Breaker from Le Sueur County NRCS will talk about EQUIP and other federal opportunities for cost sharing conservation practices on a dairy operation. Finally Dan Vermilyea will be there to answer questions about feedlot rules and manure management.
