Weekend Roundup February 26-28
The weekend is here, and despite the calendar still saying February, it feels like spring. Considering we have had snow well into April before, I'm trying not to get too excited that the warm weather and sunshine will stick around, but I do plan to enjoy it for as long as it lasts. The forecast is currently predicting that we could see 58 degrees on Saturday! 58 degrees! While you let that soak in, here are some fun ideas of ways to spend your weekend in the area.
- Start off your Saturday morning with a hike! The Faribault Flyers, Bike, Hike and Ski Club are having community hikes at 9:15AM each Saturday in February and March. Meet at Bernie's Grill parking lot or email Fboflyers@gmail.com for more information.
- The Triton FFA is holding a Steak Feed Saturday from 4-7:30PM at West Concord Faith Community Church.
- The River Bend Nature Center hosts the annual River Bend Boogie this Saturday night beginning at 6PM. Snow activities like snowshoeing have been canceled, but plenty of fun activities remain in place. All ages are welcome.
- The Paradise Center for the Arts hosts it's sixth annual Pints and Vines event Saturday night. You could win a wall of wine or a wall of beer at this event, plus sample several wines and beers and enjoy live music.
- The Caron Connection Relay for Life Team hosts a pancake breakfast Sunday morning at the Faribault Knights of Columbus Hall from 8:15AM to 12:15PM.
- Faribault Ice Arena will host open skate Sunday evening from 6-8:30PM.
Have a great weekend!
