Concordia defeated St. Olaf 52-14 Saturday in the annual Lefse Bowl to hang on to the Troll Traveling Trophy.

It's not the most recognized traveling trophy. And certainly not one of the more attractive objects to play for. But the Cobbers celebrated afterward on their sideline and held the trophy high after a dominating victory over the Oles Saturday (Sept 27). The trophy gained national attention a year ago when it appeared on ESPN's College Game Day. Host Chris Fowler called it the ugliest rivalry trophy in the nation.

Concordia out-gained St. Olaf 494 yards to 212. The Cobbers took a 31-7 halftime lead. St. Olaf junior QB Nate Penz hit senior WR Alex Nelson with a pair of touchdown passes. (game story)

The Oles host St. Thomas for homecoming on Saturday October 4 at 1:10pm. It is also Hall of Fame day for St. Olaf. The game can be heard on KDHL AM 920 and on the free RadioPup app for your mobile device.
