Faribault Bethlehem Academy head coach Tom Langfeldt told KDHL/Power 96 after their 6-5 eight inning loss to Randolph on Monday that he can't point to any one thing that is hurting his Cardinals.

Langfeldt says his team just isn't making the plays lately they were making during most of this season.

The Cardinal head coach takes nothing away from Randolph. The Rockets have always had a solid softball program and their defense was stellar in their victory. A couple of outstanding catches robbed Bethlehem Academy of some possible run-producing hits.

Langfeldt knows the schedule this final week of the season is not easy.

After Monday's game in Randolph, they have a doubleheader Tuesday at North Alexander Park in Faribault, where they host two other teams in the hunt for the Gopher Conference title -- Waterville-Elysian-Morristown and New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva.

The Bucs are coming off a 13-3 six-inning win over Medford on Monday and NRHEG just might be the hottest team in the league right now and defeated Blooming Prairie 6-5 Monday evening.

We will be broadcasting the game with Waterville-Elysian-Morristown on Power 96 Radio 95.9FM beginning at 4:15PM. The New-Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva game follows and will not be on the radio.
