Monday afternoon Gordy and I moved our deck from the Rice County Fairgrounds to the Goodhue County Fair. Thanks to Paul and Mike for helping load it onto my trailer. Thank you also to Dick Lodermeier, a couple of 4-H members and one big young man for helping unload it! It was a little congested at the Goodhue County Fairgrounds because a lot of machinery was being moved in along with livestock, 4-H projects, food stands and exhibits. Fair board members and volunteers were all there getting ready for the fair that opens today.

One of my favorite things to do at all county fairs is interviewing and talking with 4-H members. I always try and talk with young 4-H members as well as those who have been involved in 4-H for a number of years. What can you say other than they are great kids that we should all be proud of! In the picture is the livestock show area where the annual Goodhue County Livestock auction will be held Saturday morning. A complimentary buyers breakfast will be served in the 4-H building and the auction begins at 9:15. Hope to see you there to support the 4-H program in Goodhue County!
