Minnesota Primary Election is Today

Minnesota's primary election is today. Polls are open from 7AM to 8PM.

Remember on the partisan ballot you can only vote one party.

Faribault residents and those in southern Rice County and Steele County as well as a portion of Goodhue County will have U.S. Representative in District 1 and Northfield and northern Rice County along with Dakota County and a portion of Goodhue County will have U.S. Representative District 2 on their ballots.

There will be some judges on the nonpartisan portion of the ballot and in Northfield there are two council seats where candidates need to be cut to two for the general election in November.

Northfield Council Ward 2 has four candidates that will be voted down to two. Those on the ballot in Ward 2 are:

• Kenneth Engen
• David Delong
• Jack Hoschauer
• Mark Hofstad

Those on the ballot in Ward 3 are:

• Norman Butler
• Jon Denison
• Erica Zweifel

These will also be voted down to two candidates to square off in November.

The Minnesota Secretary of State's office has a poll finder that's easy to use. You just plug in your address and it will tell you where you vote.
