Lake City Erases Double-Digit Deficit and Other Area Results
The Kasson-Mantorville Komet boys basketball team led 38-25 over Lake CIty at the half but fell in the end 71-61 Tuesday night.
Senior Braxton Raymond had a monster night for the Komets with 30 points and 10 rebounds and Brendan Knoll added 10 points.
Lake City had a very balanced attack led by Brady Kuchinka's 19 points. Mark Kjos added 15, Jesse Oliver 14 and Elli Custer 12.
Lake City was 11 of 16 and Kasson-Mantorville 15 of 15 at the free throw line
In other boys games, Pine Island downed Kenyon-Wanamingo 67-52. The Panthers led 42-30 at the half.
Gavin Roosen led the Knights with 15 points and Ethan Benda added 11.
For Pine Island, Derek Finstuen amassed 15 points and 14 rebounds, Camran Heeke had 17 points, Bryce Henrichsen 10.
In other boys action, Goodhue bested Hayfield 59-45.
The Wildcats were led by Jacob McNamara with 21 points and Ben Opsahl added 12.
Goodhue was 15 of 22 from the free throw line and Hayfield 3 of 6.
