The Caledonia Warriors hit 10 threes in the first half en route to a 73-53 win over St. Paul Academy and Summit School at teh Target Center in quarterfinal round Class 2A action.  Senior Austin Bauer connected on six of his seven threes in the first half and 8th grader Owen King canned five more.  Bauer had 28 points and 5 assists and King added 21 points for the Warriors.  The game started rough for Caledonia with St. Paul Academy and Summit School jumping out to a 8-0 lead but Caledonia settled in and led 36-32 at the half thanks in large part to 10 of 19 shooting from beyond the arc.  St. Paul Academy finished 5 of 19 from three point range and finished their season 20-9.  The 28-2 Warriors tangle with the top seed in the tournament Annandale at 6pm Friday night on KDHL. In the other quarterfinal Class 2A affair Number one rated and number two seed Esko needed overtime to defeat East Grand Forks at The Barn 57-54 and Fairmont downed fellow South Central Conference foe St. Peter 58-54 to end their cinderella run.  The Saints year ends at 14-15 and the number 3 seed Cardinals at 25-4 meet Esko in semi-final action Friday night at 8pm on the Mighty 920!
