The Class 2A top seeded Annandale Cardinals trailed by 3 at the half to New London-Spicer but prevailed 76-70 in quarterfinal round action at the Target Center.  One stat tells you all you need to know.  The Cardinals were 16 of 31 from the charity stripe and the Wildcats 2 of 7.  New London-Spicer ends their season 19-11 and the Cardinals advance with a 24-6 mark.  Chase Knickerbocker played every ticky tock of the clock and tallied 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead Annandale.  All 5 starters were in double figures for the Cardinals.  Andrew Fort had 14 points and 11 rebounds as we'll for the team that was rated number five in the final basketball poll of the season put out by Minnesota Basketball News.  Annandale will play in semifinal action Friday night at 6pm during KDHL's 66th year of baseline to baseline coverage of the tournament.
