Hi! I’m Kelly! I have been part of the team since 2008 and have had a lot of fun in that time. Prior to that, I worked for a small town radio station and had a just for fun college radio show with friends. I’m a Faribault High School grad and hold a bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota Morris. When I’m not working, I love spending time with family and friends, walking my dog, checking out great local events, spending time outdoors, cheering for the Twins, and taking in as much live music as I can. Thanks for listening!

Snowy Scenes from Faribault on Friday
After temperatures that were in the 60s at the start of the week, I was feeling spring was just around the corner and was ready to pack away the winter gear and pull out the flip flops. But the old saying, "if you don't like the weather in Minnesota, wait five minutes and it will change" once again proved itself to be true, and we received a large amount of snow.

MnDOT Advises No Travel Due to Storm
Despite the high temperatures and sunshine we enjoyed earlier in the week, winter in Minnesota is not over just yet. The forecast projects that we could receive up to 12 inches of snow, so keep the boots and shovel handy and get ready to take extra precautions on the road. For your safety, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has sent out a news release advising avoiding unnecessary travel.
It’s National Margarita Day
Christmas and New Year's are long gone, Easter and Memorial Day are still far off in the distance, and Valentine's Day isn't everyone's cup of tea, but there is a holiday between the winter and summer seasons that I think the 21-plus portion of the population can happily get behind - National Margarita Day!

If you’re thinking of adding a pet to your home, pet adoption can be a very rewarding way to do so. Check out this week’s Pet of the Week and then check back next week to see a new furry friend looking for a fur-ever home.

It's Music Monday! Each week, I share something I am currently listening to and think that you might also enjoy. Get Summer-Ready at Home, Vacation, and RV Show
We've had a taste of warmer weather this week, and although it's not 70 with sun, it's a nice and unexpected break from the usual cold Minnesota winter. With all this sunshine, I'm getting excited about summer fun and the Townsquare Media Home, Vacation, and RV Show in Rochester is the perfect place to daydream and maybe get the ball rolling on a few fun plans!
Prom Dresses Available This Weekend
For young women and men in high school, prom is a special event. It is something that they look forward to all year, make plans and once the evening itself has passed, they will have the memories for years to come. But prom is expensive, and for some families, the cost can be a huge obstacle to attending. In 2013, Cinderella’s Closet at Hope was created to provide formal wear to students who might
