The holiday season just isn't the same without hearing Christmas music, right? But just which Christmas song is the most popular here in Minnesota?

Hearing those classic Christmas songs is just one of the great things about the holiday season here in Minnesota. It's right up there with many other classic holiday traditions, and for many of us, we don't really get in the Christmas spirit until we hear that one certain Christmas song.

For me, hearing the somewhat obscure song 'Old Toy Trains' takes me right back to Christmas when I was a kid. The song was written by Roger Miller but the version my dad loved to play was by Glen Campbell, so whenever I hear that song each year, then I KNOW it's Christmas.

Perhaps you have a similar story about a Christmas song that takes you right back to when YOU were a kid. But overall, which Christmas song is Minnesota's favorite? That's the question the crew over at FinanceBuzz wanted to find out. They surveyed 1,500 Americans and analyzed Google search trends to find the Most Popular Christmas Song in every state

And here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, the Most Popular Christmas Song is... 'Santa Baby.' That's right, the song about a woman who wants Santa to bring her some extravagant gifts (including diamond rings, yachts, and decorations bought at Tiffany's) was originally recorded in 1953 by Eartha Kitt and is our favorite here in the Bold North, FinanceBuzz says.

We're not alone, either. 'Santa Baby' was the Most Popular Christmas Song in seven other states, as well (including Idaho, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Rhode Island, Mississippi, and Georgia), which was the most of ANY song.

Three other songs took the top spot in at least five states: 'Jingle Bell Rock, 'It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,' and Jose Feliciano’s 'Feliz Navidad' were also fairly popular Christmas songs.

Behind the Cheddar Curtain back in my home state of Wisconsin, 'A Holly Jolly Christmas' is the Most Popular Christmas Song, while 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' took the top spot down in Iowa.

You can check out the full survey HERE and check the map below to see which song is the most popular in each state. And speaking of popular, keep scrolling to check out which toy was the most popular during each Christmas season when we were growing up!
