Fall is definitely my favorite season for many reasons. One of those reasons includes the smells that follow this beautiful time. So here are the best and true scents that come with fall, that truly encapsulate the season, in my opinion.

Cinnamon

This is one of the first ones I think of when I think of fall. I mean to wake up on a Sunday morning in October and come downstairs to the smell of freshly made cinnamon rolls. That is absolute heaven. The pairing of anything with cinnamon can make it seem fall-like, or maybe because most of the things we pair with cinnamon we tend to eat or have more of in the fall whether that is cinnamon rolls, or apples.

Pumpkin

I mean this one has truly taken over since the PSL became a huge concept of fall. I used to think of pumpkin pies for thanksgiving, but now I think of sweet and yummy pumpkin bread and PSLs during all of fall. I mean the pumpkin spice smell is a classic now and truly encapsulates fall.

Nutmeg

Another baking or cooking spice but this one is amazing. Like cinnamon, we pair it with so many things and is added into muffins, loaves of bread, and even in coffee drinks, or cocktail drinks, I mean you can’t go wrong with nutmeg. also Hazelnut is a good one too!

Apple

This is probably because apple season is in the fall and a fun thing to do in the fall is visiting apple orchards. So it only makes sense that an apple scent embodies fall! And I mean you can never go wrong with apple cider or some apple pie on a nice crisp fall afternoon!

Crisp Fall Air

This one is hard to describe, but while doing research I found it very interesting. We all tend to appreciate fall because when we go outside, the air has this new crisp smell. Whyy notes that this smell comes from the plants and trees dying around us. While it sounds a bit morbid, remember they grow back and nature starts again. Why.org explains “As [plants] change from when the leaves were green, and now they’re changing color, they’re also changing the kinds of odors that they give off. And that can be very evocative for us because it’s become associated with a period of time that is a somewhat pleasant transition for most people.”

Mahogany Teakwood from Bath and Bodyworks

Okay, this one is very specific, but hear me out! One of Bath and Bodyworks’ most popular scents is Mahogany Teakwood which includes notes of rich mahogany, black teakwood, dark oak, and frosted lavender. I mean on Bath and Bodyworks’ website they describe the smell as “borrowing their flannel for a hike in the woods.” How can you not love that? To be able to have your home smell like that is just fall in every word.

Best Halloween Décor To Buy [In My Opinion]

Usually, Michael’s is my home during this time of year because they have so many different and uniquely creepy yet pretty décor for your house. But someone else has stolen my heart, and that would be Joann Fabrics! Yeah, Joann really stepped it up this year, and I am here to share just some of the items that Joann brought this year. So, in my opinion, if you are looking to create a spooky vibe in your home but don’t want the kitschy or cliché black and orange items, here are the best things to get from Joann’s Haunted Hallow Collection!
