Sandra Grazzini-Rucki failed to appear in Dakota County District court Monday for a hearing. She was convicted in 2016 for hiding her teenage girls from her husband for more than two years during a troublesome custody dispute.

The Minnesota Court of Appeals ruled last November that a judge must allow Grazzini-Rucki to serve her prison term of just over a year all at once and not in 15-day stretches annually through the length of her probation, scheduled to run through 2022.

The court of appeals did not though,  reverse her conviction, dismiss the charges against her or grant a new trial.

Grazzini-Rucki, accused the father, David Rucki, of abusing her and the girls. A judge granted custody to the father, who denied the accusations.

She faile d to maintain contact with probation officers in 2016 and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
