The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency in Minnesota along with the University of Minnesota Extension service will be sponsoring a webinar especially for Beginning Farmers and Ranchers. There are many resources and programs designed to help beginning farmers. The webinar will only be 45 minutes long on Thursday March 4, 2021 at 12:30 pm. (CST)

There will be speakers from the Minnesota Farm Service Agency, the Risk Management Agency (crop insurance), Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Rural Development. All the speakers will discuss their programs and services that are available for beginning farmers and ranchers. "Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of each agency and the resources they can provide. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the USDA staff on the call."

I have done numerous interviews with these agencies and there are so many programs and services available to all farmers and specifically beginning farmers that it can get overwhelming. So, it is nice to see a webinar has been set up to provide more information. You can register for the webinar at: z.umn.edu/BeginningFarmerMeeting.
