The University of Minnesota Extension Service will be hosting a corn-soybean weed management field day Thursday at the Rosemount Research and Outreach Center in Rosemount. Registration is at 8:45 and the program runs from 9:00 to 12:30 pm. There will be a box lunch provided after the program. There is no charge but pre-registration is requested and you can do that at : https://z.umn.edu/RosemountWeedTour. Please pre-register by Wednesday July 14, 2021 so they know how many box lunches to provide!

This will be a great opportunity to learn and see new herbicide technologies like Extend, Enlist, plus the soil applied and other herbicides that have been on the market for decades. Many of these herbicides still have a role to play in controlling giant ragweed and waterhemp! If you have questions call University of Minnesota Weed Scientist Debalin Sarangi at 612-625-8130 or you can email dsarangi@umn.edu.

There are a number of industry sponsors of the field day plus a number of University of Minnesota Extension Educators, graduate students and Rosemount staff that took care of the weed management plots. Looking at the forecast it looks like they will have nice weather on Thursday too!
