Two Historic Homes in Southern Minnesota Offering Christmas Tours You Don’t Want to Miss
There are so many cool things to do in Southern Minnesota around the holidays. One of those things is the Christmas tours you can go on at a couple of historic homes in our area.
One of these tours is at the Historic Mayowood Mansion in Rochester. The tour is called "A Victorian Christmas." Here's when tours are available, according to the History Center of Olmstead County:
- November 2, 2019 - December 15, 2019
(every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)
10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - November 2, 2019 - December 15, 2019
(every Saturday)
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - December 1, 2019 - December 15, 2019
(every Sunday)
11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for adults 12 and up, $10 for children 3-12. It's not recommended that you bring children under 3. Reservations are required and you can make them by calling 507-282-9447.
The other Christmas tour you can't miss is at the Hubbard House in Mankato. This one is only open for two days, this Saturday and Sunday: Saturday the 7th 3 - 7 PM and Sunday the 8th 1 - 4 PM. Tickets can be purchased the day of: $10 for adults, $7 for Blue Earth County Historical Society members, $5 for kids 5-17, according to Explore Minnesota.
