Members of the Tri-City United Horse Evaluation team recently competed at the 91st National FFA competition in Indianapolis Indiana. These are called Career Development Events or CDE's. Back when I was in the FFA in the 1970's we called them judging contests. The Tri-City United team pictured left to right of Mary Emma Reeser, Kendra Blaschko, Shelby Reeser and Sidney Walters placed 16th.

The Tri-City United FFA team represented Minnesota at the National FFA Convention and competed with 47 other state winners. The Tri-City United Horse Evaluation team earned the right to compete at the National FFA Convention by placing first last spring at the Minnesota State FFA Convention. Participants judged 5 classes of performance animals and three classes of halter show animals. Plus, they had several knowledge tests and had a team presentation on animal health.

Under the rules of the FFA, even if these members are underclassmen, by winning a state contest they can no longer compete in this CDE. Congratulations to the Tri-City United Horse Evaluation Team!
