Three tornadoes have have been confirmed, and as many as another five may have touched down on Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

They will be checking out Sibley, Nicollet and Blue Earth counties today to examine those areas where tree damage and barn damage occurred. They will also be sending people to the Prior Lake and New Prague areas where some possible tornadoes touched down. The first tornado was reported on the ground just east of Nicollet around 4:52PM.

Reports of more than 9 inches of rain in the Redwood Falls area and 4-8 inch rain amounts were reported in the Willmar, Granite Falls, Madison, Renville and Montevideo areas, and there are flood warnings still in effect in those areas. Rain amounts of more than 3 inches reported in the Gaylord, New Ulm and Nicollet areas. The Wells Lake area reported 2.5 inches. Southwest of Faribault reporting eight-tenths of an inch and Nerstrand reporting around an inch. Jerry Groskreutz said there was .65 at the farm near Wells.
