The annual Agronomy Field Tour at the Southern Research and Outreach Center at Waseca (SROC) has been a very popular event every summer. This year it will be a virtual Agronomy Field Tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tom Hoverstad Scientist at SROC said they did not want to completely cancel the Field Tour. This was the best option to let farmers, agronomists and ag professionals know what type of research was underway at SROC. In addition every growing season is different and they always include timely topics.

The research topics include: Sulfur fertilization of corn in Southern Minnesota presented by Dan Kaiser Extension Specialist Nutrient Management, Combining 4 R Nutrient Management and Ecology with Jeff Vetsch Soil Scientist at SROC, Corn and soybean weed control with Tom Hoverstad Scientist at SROC, Cover Crop Research A Review of Results presented by Gregg Johnson Associate Professor, Agronomy and Plant Genetics.

You can watch and participate in the virtual Agronomy Field Tour and there is no charge but you have to pre-register online ahead of time. The Agronomy Field Tour will be recorded and available for viewing later too. To pre-register click here.
