Earlier this week the Arby's in Elk River, MN decided to place a sign in the window that read the following:

Notice: Only well behaved children who can keep their food on their trays and their bottoms on their seats are welcome. If you can't do this you will be asked to leave. Thanks.

Christine Hemsworth was a customer at that Arby's that night with her two sons and her daughter, one who is a toddler. She told KARE 11, "'I was like 'oh gosh, I've got a two-year-old with me and he doesn't always keep his fries on the tray or his bottom on the seat. He sometimes stands up.'"

Christine also mentioned that it's not like they were at a restaurant "with white tablecloths," it's supposed to be family-oriented. She did say that they went into the restaurant anyway, got their food, and everything was fine.

KARE 11 reached out to Arby's corporate for comment and sent this in reply:

We recognize the language on this sign was insensitive. We removed it quickly, and have disciplined the manager and team working at the restaurant. It does not reflect our company values and the family-friendly environment we aim to provide in all of our restaurants.

What would you do if you were trying to get dinner with your kids and saw a sign like that?
