Isanti, MN (KROC AM News) - It appears the search for a missing east-central Minnesota woman has had a tragic ending.

A search for 32-year-old Amanda Jo Vangrinsven started last week after she was reported missing.

The Isanti County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a rural site Tuesday evening and found a woman’s body. The department says it believes "based on the evidence located at the scene, this is the individual they were looking for."

An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death and positive ID.

The sheriff’s office says no one is in custody at this time. The office says the woman’s family has been notified.

The Minnesota BCA last Saturday issued a statewide alert for assistance in locating Vangrinsven. The alert said she was last seen Aug 5th “near the Isanti VFW.”
