The Minnesota Farmers Union will be hosting A Rural Dairy Discussion at the Mazeppa Community Center on Wednesday June 13, 2018 starting at 10:30 am. The Minnesota Farmers Union wants to hear from you. "Like at our Rural Voices Discussions, we are opening up the Rural Dairy Discussions to you. Bring any suggestions you have for addressing the crisis and tell your stories." The Minnesota Farmers Union will serve milk, snacks and lunch will follow the discussion.

The listening panel will include Minnesota Farmers Union President Gary Wertish, Minnesota Assistant Commissioner of Agriculture Andrea Vaubel, and National Farmers Union President for Public Policy and Communications Rob Larew. The Rural Dairy Discussion is free and open to the public, so "please invite your family, friends and agriculturalists.

June is Dairy Month, a time set aside to celebrate the Dairy Industry. However, this is not a happy time for Dairy Farm Families. The dairy price crisis, is  affecting all Dairy Farms, no matter what the size large and small.
