Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police are investigating the reported theft of construction tools valued in the thousands of dollars.

The theft was reported by the owner of Niagara Builders from Harmony.

He told police the tools were in a storage trailer he had parked at a construction site in the 3100 block of 41st St NW.  They were stolen sometime between Feb 10th and Tuesday, when the theft was discovered.

The owner told police a padlock on the trailer had been cut. Missing were numerous cordless power tools, charging stations, compressors and other items.

The owner estimated the loss at between $10,000 and $15,000.
