Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn issued a news release today announcing the decision to lift the no wake restrictions previously implemented on all waterways in the county.  Here is the information in it's entirety.

"Effective immediately, we are lifting the no wake restrictions on all waterways within Rice County.  Water levels have subsided in the past week to a level we are comfortable with for recreational watercraft.  We thank everyone for their cooperation and patience.  Please remember to wear your PFD’s when boating and be cautious to debris in and around our lakes, rivers and waterways.  Stay safe!"

The No Wake restrictions were put in place in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to protect shoreline from erosion.
