The co-chairs of the Rice County Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign will be on our KDHL AM Minnesota program sharing details about how the donated money is used.

Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn and Ed Little are the co-chairs of the campaign.

I usually ring bells a couple of times during the holiday season: Once for the Faribault Lions and once in honor of my parents because of their generous examples of humanity.

The Salvation Army is able to help a number of people in need with the contributions from the Red Kettle Campaign. They provide youth and adult programming, family counseling, health, older adult, housing or residence, domestic violence, correctional and disaster services. Salvation Army also sponsors adult rehabilitation and worship centers.

Holiday bell ringing takes place in Faribault, Northfield and Lonsdale.

A couple of years ago I volunteered in Lonsdale and it was a very enjoyable experience. I could not believe the number of people I actually knew in the community. I might have to go to Northfield this year.

AM Minnesota is at 9:30AM. If you can't tune in then, go to our YouTube channel and watch the show later.
