The Rice County Recorder's Office issued a news release today stating they are going to begin accepting passport applications by appointment March 1, 2021

Hours will be, "Monday –Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In accordance with Minnesota Governor’s Executive Orders and CDC best practices, masks are required to be worn in Rice County government buildings."

"Masks are only to be removed for the portion of your passport appointment that requires identity verification and/or photos."

"For more information and to schedule your passport appointment please call (507) 332-6114."

"Forms are available in advance on our website www.co.rice.mn.us or atwww.travel.state.gov. Regular office hours for scheduling appointments for other services remain the same, Monday –Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m."
