Rice County Fair Tractor Pull Canceled

Last evening and early this morning I was still optimistic that the Rice County Fair NTPA Truck and Tractor Pull would be held this evening. Then this morning we received around 2 inches and later on in the morning even more. So, the decision was made to cancel the NTPA Truck and Tractor Pull.

Until the rain later this morning P J with the Rice County Fair Board thought he could still get the track ready for the pull. The track is clay and the water does not penetrate very deep. P J thought he could scrape a few inches off the top of the track and with a little sunshine have the track ready.

Then another round of thunderstorms moved through and the forecast for this afternoon was mostly cloudy. So, the decision was made to cancel the NTPA Truck and Tractor pull. However, they are still planning on the demolition derby Sunday afternoon.
