This is one of the reasons why 4-H is one of my favorite youth organizations! Last year the Rice County Big Giants 4-H Club found out that the Northfield Community Action Center was in desperate need of baby supplies to help families in need. They decided they wanted to help so they organized the first annual Big Giants 4-H Rattles Up Baby supplies and it was very successful. They found out that again this year there was a great need for baby supplies. So, this is the second annual Big Giants 4-H rattles Up Baby Supplies for the Northfield Community Action Center.

The Northfield Community Action Center told the Big Giants 4-H Club that they were in the most need of baby foods, formula of all types, soy, lactose free and regular, wipes, household cleaning supplies, laundry detergent and diapers sized 6/7 and pull-ups. The Big Giants 4-H Club has positioned donation boxes at the following locations around Northfield: Northfield Montessori, Little Village ELC (Dundas),  Bethel Lutheran, St Peter's Lutheran, Family Fare, Cub Foods, Church of St. Dominic and Emmaus Baptist.

Isaac Lyman who is a member of the Big Giants 4-H club asked me if I would help get the information out to everyone! Isaac said they would be collecting donated items from the drop boxes and delivering them to the Northfield Community Action Center until December 15, 2021. So, if you are in the Northfield area please consider dropping off some of the needed baby supplies. Also, maybe you could make a cash donation by contacting the Rice County Extension office? I am sure 4-H members or the Northfield Community Action Center could they go shopping for needed supplies.
