The annual Rice and Steele County Crops Day has been scheduled for Tuesday February 25, 2020 at the Rice County Extension office on the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault. The program is sponsored by the University of Minnesota Extension along with KDHL radio in Faribault and KRFO radio in Owatonna. While it is called Rice and Steele County Crops Day all crop producers and Ag stakeholders are welcome. You do not have to pre-register and there is no charge. Registration  begins at 8:30 and the program runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The morning program will consist of pest and pathogen updates that will be presented by University of Minnesota Extension Entomologist Anthony Hanson and University of Minnesota Plant Pathologist Dean Malvick and University of Minnesota Extension Crops Educator Liz Stahl. Th afternoon program will focus on grain marketing. University of Minnesota Extension Ag Business Management Educator David Bau will talk about How to get $4 corn and Larry Olson from Agro Tech Marketing Inc will discuss My Option Advantage A New Marketing Tool.
