Rewards Offered in Lois Riess Manhunt
Mantorville, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two rewards were offered today for information leading to the capture of a Blooming Prairie woman wanted for 2 murders.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says the US Marshals Service has elevated the nationwide search for 56-year-old Lois Riess to a Major Case and is offering $5,000 for information leading to her arrest. The State of Florida is offering an additional $1,000 reward through its Crime Stoppers program.
Riess has been on the run since March 23rd after Dodge County authorities discovered her husband shot to death inside the couple’s rural Blooming Prairie home. She has since been named the prime suspect in the murder of a Bradenton Florida woman at a Fort Myers condominium. Investigators believe Riess killed 59-year-old Pamela Hutchinson in order to steal her identity and her car, a white 2005 Acura TL with Florida license plate Y37TAA. The car was last spotted in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Anyone with information concerning Riess is asked to call the Minnesota Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-877-966-6222. If you spot Riess, do not approach her and call 911 immediately. She is considered armed and dangerous.
