Region 8 FFA Leadership Conference

Last Friday I was asked again this year to help judge the Region 8 FFA Creed Contest. There were a lot of FFA members at Riverland Community College in Austin Friday. There were other contests or Career Development Events (CDE's) Friday including Public Speaking and Extemporaneous Speaking. In addition there were Region 8 FFA Officer interviews, FFA State Degree interviews and Proficiency Award interviews.

We had 14 contestants in the FFA Creed Contest. The FFA member recites the FFA Creed which is 5 paragraphs and then answers a question from each of the 3 judges. The winner of the Region 8 Creed Contest will be able to compete in the FFA Creed Contest this spring at the Minnesota State FFA Convention. In the picture is the cafeteria commons area where FFA members could wait for their event.
