It was a little over a week ago the topsoil was very dry and we were hoping for rain. Now we we hoping it will quit for a week or two! Some parts of our listening area received more than 3 inches of rain in the last week or so. In fact mark just southeast of Faribault told me he had 3.7 inches in his gauge. Mark was pleased that there was no water standing in any of his fields. We have been fortunate that we have not had any severe thunderstorms and heavy rain events or "gully washers."

Below are the rain gauge reports that were called in this morning from the rain that began Thursday Morning. Lets hope for some nice warm sunshine for the Memorial Day weekend and all next week too.
