Preparing For the Rice County Fair

There is a lot of activity at the Rice County Fair Grounds these days. The lawn is being mowed, bedding is being put in livestock barns, the street had a fresh layer of blacktop added and many food buildings are being cleaned up. In the picture is Kevin Estrem with the Rice County Pork Producers on the roof the Rice County Pork Producers, Dakota Rice Corn and Soybean Growers Pork Stand.

Wednesday evening Kevin and a couple other members cleaned the Pork Stand and hauled in supplies getting ready for the start of the Rice County Fair Tuesday evening. There are countless volunteers that make the Rice County Fair what it is. Many are with the Fair Board, while many others are with different organizations that have booths and food stands at the Rice County Fair. Thank you to everyone that helps with the Rice County Fair. By the way, the long range weather forecast looks perfect for the fair!
